Warning: I may go off on a slight tangent here but please bear with me.

I believe that I live a privileged life. Not the sort of privilege reserved for the criminally wealthy, No, I am talking about the many small privileges we are each often guilty of taking for granted.
I have a home, food, water, clothes, a job, a nice family; I have free healthcare and the right to vote. These are things that not everybody on this silly old circle called Earth has.

It is for the reasons listed above that I like to give to charity – however, lately I have had the feeling that this is not enough and I want to do more.
I could raise money the old fashioned way: run 6 miles, bungie jump, shave my eyebrows off, attach balloons to a washing machine and fly it around the world (okay I made the last one up) but I have a better solution and this is where you might come in…yeah you right there.

< BEGIN TANGENT >

As you may or may not know I am an avid gamer ( I also claim to write what I call “music” for them) – I even work for a small studio developing Facebook games and applications.  I am also an avid twitter user and I have been lucky enough to find a great bunch of people who love music and video games as much as I do – I continue to find more day by day. On top of that I have also met artists, web developers, game designers and a whole host of over creative types.

< END TANGENT >

So here is the predicament.

I want to do something for a charity.
I am a gamer.
I am a self proclaimed  “creative” person

Wait…Ideas are happening…

“A Super Mega Awesome Epic charity Soundtrack”

So, people of the internet stop bickering about Apple vs Windows or Firefox vs Chrome  and join me in creating something special.

My proposal (spurred on by the great work done by HumbleBundle ) is to join forces with the gaming community to create a compilation soundtrack to be released via a “Pay What You Want” scheme
with the proceeds split between the charities Childs Play and EFF  (again in a similar vain to the humble bundle)

So who of you will join me in my quest? the Holidays are upon us soon and we have the power to give somebody an epic Christmas.

If you would like to join me please use the “Contact” link on the left hand side of the screen or message me on Twitter/Facebook using the links on the right

Lets make it happen.
