Heromania: Quest for Glory

For Heromania: Quest for Glory, I was responsible for designing the complete soundscape, crafting audio that brings its vibrant world and eclectic cast of monsters to life. This action-adventure game invites players to battle skeletons, slimes, lava golems, and a host of other creatures across diverse, atmospheric environments.

UI Sound Design: Developed a suite of satisfying and intuitive UI sounds—menu clicks, inventory toggles, loot pickups, and notifications—to enhance user feedback and maintain the game’s playful tone.

Creature & Combat Effects: Each enemy type received its own unique audio identity:

  • Skeletons: Rattling bones and brittle impacts for attacks and movement.
  • Slimes: Squishy, elastic splats and bounces to match their animated forms.
  • Lava Golems: Deep, rumbling footsteps, molten cracks, and fiery eruptions.
  • Other Creatures: Custom effects tailored to each monster, from eerie whispers to comical squeaks.

Player Actions: Designed clear, responsive sounds for attacks, spell casting, item usage, and movement—ensuring every action feels impactful and rewarding.

Atmospheric Soundscapes: Created immersive ambient audio for each world and dungeon, blending natural elements (wind, water, echoes) with subtle musical flourishes. Each area’s soundscape was tailored to evoke its unique mood—whether mysterious, whimsical, or foreboding.

Throughout the project I worked closely with the development team to ensure all sounds synced seamlessly with gameplay mechanics and visual cues. I delivered layered audio assets, allowing for dynamic mixing and adaptation as players progress through different worlds and face new challenges. I also optimized sound effects for clarity and consistency across platforms and devices.
